A Real Glacier Day - Day 17

As a result of driving up to Sunrise Point (elevation 6400 feet) to view Mt Rainier, the low and high temperature delta varied a great deal today.  The low temperature dropped to 54F at Sunrise Point  and the high temperature of 81F peaked at the bottom of Mountain.  Gasoline was purchased today at $3.859/gallon, seems like it is heading North again.  Although the weather was overcast and somewhat hazy today, it did not dampen my spirits for seeing my first real Glacier.  I might add that the Emmons Glacier has a depth of  over 200 feet!  Isn't that just awesome!
A special thank you go out to the Eitners who once again showed just what hospitality and friendship is.  They are two wonderful people.
The plan is to drive further South tomorrow as Crater Lake is now in my headlights!
 Night everyone!
