This picture was taken of the Painted Canyon Overlook at the Painted Canyon Visitor Center off Interstate 94 a few miles East of Medora, North Dakota. The Painted Canyon is the upper margin of the Badlands of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. I think the picture speaks for itself.
It does remind one of the Badlands with vegetation. What are the few streaks of red?
