Mt Baker

This picture of Mt Baker (elevation 10,781 feet) was taken at the very end of Route 542 at the Vista of  Artist Point, Washington.  Mt Baker is a thermally active volcano and is estimated to be somewhere between 80,000 to 140,000 years old.  I find it unique in that within a 15-25 mile radius one can find two mountain peaks that are formed totally different.
