Buckeye Fruit

This picture taken of a Buckeye Fruit fallen from one of the Buckeye Trees in the Buckeye Grove on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, Ohio.  I believe fruit like these, house the seeds (1-3) that mature into what is commonly known as the Buckeye Nut, of which none could be found.
